John Lambert

“From mess to message, from prison to progress—my life is proof that no one is too far gone to be redeemed.”

ohn Lambert is a living testimony of redemption, resilience, and purpose. Born into a volatile and dysfunctional environment, his early years were marked by hardship, instability, and incarceration. Drawn into the streets at a young age, he became entangled in gang violence, drug dealing, and criminal behavior—ultimately leading to his imprisonment at age 21. Over the years, John faced multiple incarcerations, with his seventh sentence being Life Without the Possibility of Parole, handed down by Judge Lance Ito, known for the O.J. Simpson trial.

After serving 22 years, 5 months, and 13 days, John’s sentence was reduced by God’s grace. In prison, he began the difficult work of transformation—shifting his mindset, placing God at the center of his life, and dedicating himself to change. Upon release, John rebuilt his life. He is now a husband, business owner, nonprofit founder, and a trauma support professional at Loma Linda University Medical Center. His work centers on mentoring youth and high-risk individuals, using his lived experience to guide, uplift, and provide real hope.

More than just sharing his story, John walks alongside others on their journey to healing and transformation. He believes deeply in being present, active, and accountable in the lives of those he supports—especially those affected by gang life and violence.
