Charlene Bollinger

" I approach every task with an energetic and dedicated mindset"

Hello! My name is Charlene Bollinger, and I have dedicated the past 13 years of my career to serving San Bernardino County. Currently, I hold the position of Office Assistant III in the Information Technology Department, where I thrive on supporting my colleagues and ensuring that our services run smoothly. My role allows me to engage with various technologies and processes, and I take great pride in contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

Beyond my professional life, I am a proud wife and mother to four beautiful children—three daughters and one son. Our family is wonderfully blended and biracial, which enriches our lives and gives us a unique perspective on the world. As a parent, I face both the challenges and joys of raising a diverse family, and I cherish every moment. My journey as a mother has been particularly enlightening, especially as I advocate for my eldest child, who faces a range of challenges including ADHD, ODD, anxiety, depression, dyslexia, and being on the autism spectrum.

Navigating the educational system and the complexities of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) has empowered me to speak up and fight for what is right—not only for my child but also for others in similar situations. I’ve attended school board meetings to share our experiences and advocate for necessary changes that benefit the community as a whole. I truly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to receive FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education)and thrive, and I am committed to making a difference.

In addition to my advocacy work, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with a nonprofit organization that supports mothers in need. Through this role, I’ve helped organize fundraising and donation events, witnessing firsthand the profound impact that a little kindness and support can have on families in our community. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve others and help create a network of resources that uplifts and empowers those who may be struggling.

Volunteering has always been close to my heart. In the past, I actively participated in my church's community efforts, organizing food drives, fall festivals, Easter extravaganzas, and other initiatives that aimed to support those in need. Giving back to my community is not just a duty—it’s a passion that fuels my desire to create positive change.

In all aspects of my life, I strive to be a hard worker, embracing challenges with optimism and a caring spirit. I am a firm believer in the power of community, collaboration, and compassion, and I approach every task with an energetic and dedicated mindset. My family, my work, and my community experiences shape who I am, and I look forward to continuing my journey of growth, learning, and service.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
